Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Thursday organized an extensive roadshow in West Bengal's Bhabanipur Assembly constituency, rallying support for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) as the state gears up for its assembly elections. The event drew large crowds of party workers and supporters, showcasing strong backing for the BJP in this pivotal seat.

Addressing attendees at senior BJP leader Suvendu Adhikari's nomination event, Shah outlined several critical issues plaguing the state, such as rampant corruption, extortion, and youth unemployment, alongside illegal infiltration. He stated, "The entire Bengal is troubled by extortion, Trinamool Congress-induced violence, unsafe conditions for women, and changing demographics due to uncontrolled infiltration."

Shah highlighted the BJP's commitment to revitalize the state, citing successes under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's stewardship since 2014. He appealed directly to voters, urging them to support Suvendu Adhikari and other BJP candidates, while promising a crackdown on illegal infiltration and the realization of 'Sonar Bangla', a vision of prosperity rooted in cultural heritage.
