EU's Bold Financial Boost to Ukraine Amid Reforms

The European Union is set to deliver a financial lifeline to Ukraine, with disbursements ranging from 2.5 billion to 2.7 billion euros, following recent parliamentary reforms, according to Marta Kos, EU's enlargement commissioner. A significant 90 billion euro loan is also promised after political changes in Hungary streamline processes.
Ukrainian Finance Minister Serhiy Marchenko, speaking at a Washington event, underscored the vital role of EU assistance in bridging Ukraine's enormous financing gap. The EU currently covers nearly two-thirds of Ukraine's financing needs, although further international contributions remain uncertain.
IMF's Gavin Gray praised Ukraine's economic stability, noting its remarkable growth despite ongoing challenges. The EU's support, alongside Ukraine's commitment to reforms, promises a financially sustainable future, provided external political hurdles are cleared.
