Prime Minister Narendra Modi has launched a scathing attack on the TMC-led government in West Bengal, alleging it is not governed from the state secretariat but by criminals and goons under the party's protection.
During a rally in Hooghly district, he accused the ruling party of relying on anti-social elements, necessitating frequent interventions from the Calcutta High Court and the Supreme Court to maintain order.
Modi promised that a BJP-led government would prioritize justice and security, with specific plans to develop Hooghly as an industrial center and implement the Ayushman Bharat health insurance program.
