In a fierce address to the Uttar Pradesh State Assembly, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath launched a scathing critique of the opposition parties over the recently passed Women's Reservation Bill. He accused them of displaying an 'anti-women mindset' by opposing critical empowerment initiatives and later attempting to claim credit for them.
During his speech, CM Yogi challenged the opposition's inconsistent stance, stating, 'Even a chameleon would blush at your conduct; if you are advocating for a 33% quota today, then why did you oppose it in Parliament?' He accused them of acting as obstacles to women's empowerment, particularly referencing the newly enacted 'Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam.'
CM Yogi further assailed parties like the Samajwadi Party, Congress, TMC, and DMK, alleging their behavior during the Bill's passage epitomized their 'anti-women mindset.' Additionally, he criticized their past antagonism to welfare schemes, citing a history of financial mismanagement and propagandist campaigns against initiatives such as 'Jan Dhan.'
