The Jharkhand Mahila Congress has started a postcard campaign to push for the immediate enforcement of the 'Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam', 2023, which ensures women get 33% reservation in the Lok Sabha based on 543 seats. The initiative aims to send 10,000 postcards addressed to Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Addressing the media in Ranchi, Jharkhand Mahila Congress president Rama Khalkho urged for the inclusion of women from the OBC category within this reservation. District women presidents have been tasked to raise awareness about the BJP's alleged misinformation on the issue, ensuring the postcards reach the PM from block levels.
The campaign hopes to culminate with 10 lakh postcards from across India, expressing demands to the PM. A divisional-level press conference will be held to counter BJP's propaganda, alongside a massive protest planned for May 6 at Lok Bhavan. Notable Congress figures were present at the press conference.
