Repoll Ordered in Falta Assembly Constituency
The Election Commission has ordered a repoll across all 285 polling booths in West Bengal's Falta assembly constituency due to severe electoral offences. The repoll is scheduled for May 21, following the irregularities during the second phase of assembly elections on April 29. Votes will be counted on May 24.

The Election Commission announced on Saturday a complete repoll in all polling booths of Falta assembly constituency in West Bengal's South 24 Parganas district, set for May 21. The decision follows severe electoral offences during the voting on April 29.
According to an official, the repoll was ordered due to significant subversion of the democratic process at polling stations, including auxiliary locations. The commission has scheduled the voting from 7 am to 6 pm on the specified day.
The assembly elections were conducted in two phases on April 23 and 29. The Election Commission will conduct vote counting for the Falta constituency on May 24, as planned for the second phase of elections initially held on April 29.
