In a significant turn of events, the ruling Trinamool Congress and the DMK are trailing in West Bengal and Tamil Nadu as vote counting progresses. Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya took the opportunity to criticize Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav, claiming a decline in public support for his party.
Speaking in Hindi on platform X, Maurya asserted that Yadav, along with political figures like M K Stalin and Mamata Banerjee, faces diminishing influence. He stressed that the public has witnessed setbacks for politicians like Rahul Gandhi and criticized the SP's aspiration to claim power in Uttar Pradesh in the upcoming 2027 elections.
Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the BJP appears to be gaining ground, leading the vote count in West Bengal and challenging the incumbent DMK in Tamil Nadu. As elections extend across various states, the political landscape may be poised for a transformative shift.
