Congress Leader Claims Voting Irregularities in Manalur Defeat

In a controversial claim, Congress leader T N Prathapan alleged irregularities in the Manalur assembly seat elections. After losing by 126 votes, he accused election officials of not counting 184 home votes.

Prathapan announced his intentions to move the Kerala High Court and file an election petition. He criticized four election officials for allegedly setting aside several ballots.

In a bold prediction, Prathapan suggested that a fellow Congress leader who regularly visits the Guruvayoor temple would be the party's next chief minister.
