Estonian minister dismisses suggestion of Schroeder role in Ukraine peace talks

​Estonian Foreign ‌Minister Margus Tsahkna ​dismissed on Monday ‌a suggestion from Russian President Vladimir Putin that former ‌German Chancellor Gerhard Schroeder ‌could coordinate talks with the European Union ⁠to secure ​a ⁠peace deal in Ukraine.

"Gerhard Schroeder ⁠is a Putin ​idea. I think they ⁠are very close. Gerhard Schroeder ⁠won't ​be representing Europe," said Tsahkna, as ⁠he arrived for an ⁠EU ⁠meeting in Brussels.
