In a significant political development in Assam, four new ministers are set to take oath alongside Chief Minister-designate Himanta Biswa Sarma. The ceremony, scheduled for May 12, marks a critical step for the new NDA government.
The ministers include notable figures such as Rameswar Teli, Atul Bora, Charan Boro, and Ajanta Neog. Bora leads the Asom Gana Parishad, and Boro is a Bodoland People's Front MLA. Both have served in ministerial roles in the previous NDA administration.
In addition, Himanta Biswa Sarma announced that Ranjeet Kumar Dass will be the candidate for the Assam Assembly Speaker post, manifesting a strategic alliance in Assam's legislature. The new team aims to foster a stronger, prosperous Assam.
