Joining He were high-ranking officials, including China's Vice Commerce Minister Li Chenggang, as they prepare for talks with U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent on Wednesday. This session serves as a precursor to the major summit in Beijing between U.S. President Donald Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping, slated for later this week.

The discussions are expected to unfold in a reception room at Incheon airport, though no meeting is planned between South Korean Finance Minister Koo Yun-cheol and the visiting officials, according to Seoul's Finance Ministry.
