On Tuesday, NCP leader Sunil Tatkare visited Sharad Pawar, the president of NCP (SP), at his south Mumbai residence. Tatkare described the visit as non-political, focusing instead on Pawar's health.
This meeting was Tatkare's first with Pawar since the tragic January plane crash that claimed the life of deputy chief minister Ajit Pawar. Although Tatkare emphasized the non-political nature of their talk, it took place against the backdrop of ongoing political developments.
Tatkare’s visit coincided with the induction of Sunetra Pawar's sons into NCP's national working committee, representing a time of significant changes within the party. Sharad Pawar indicated there were plans for merging NCP factions, which had hit a roadblock following Ajit Pawar's unexpected death.
