In a notable shift towards eco-friendly measures, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has opted to streamline his convoy size on recent domestic visits, maintaining all essential security precautions required under Special Protection Group (SPG) protocols. This restructuring was observed during trips to Gujarat and Assam following his address in Hyderabad.

While downsizing the number of vehicles, sources confirmed that the reduction did not compromise any critical security elements. Additionally, PM Modi has instructed the inclusion of Electric Vehicles (EVs) in his convoy when possible, aiming for sustainability without new acquisitions.

This initiative aligns with the Prime Minister's appeal for reduced reliance on imported fuel and embracing sustainable alternatives. Speaking at a Secunderabad gathering, he emphasized a modern patriotic spirit—advocating for responsible daily choices over mere border defense. Modi encouraged minimizing petrol and diesel use by favoring public transport and EVs.

In his broader call for self-sufficiency, PM Modi encouraged reduced edible oil consumption and urged farmers to transition to natural farming to decrease chemical fertilizer reliance. He highlighted the economic and environmental benefits of such practices, reinforcing their significance in national patriotism.
