In response to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's call for fuel conservation, Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini has trimmed his convoy from its previous seven to ten vehicles down to just four. This decision is part of a series of fuel-saving measures that Saini is promoting within the state government.

Speaking at a recent event at the BJP headquarters in Panchkula, Saini urged both the public and political opposition to heed the prime minister's appeal. He stressed the importance of maximizing public transport and minimizing unnecessary fuel consumption, setting an example by reducing the number of cars in his motorcade, which now includes only essential security vehicles.

Several Haryana cabinet ministers have adopted similar austerity measures, with Minister Arvind Sharma notably cycling to the BJP headquarters. Saini also announced plans for the government to adopt virtual meetings and further conserve resources in line with the prime minister's vision for national resource efficiency.
