Need to strengthen grassroots-level activities to effectively implement welfare schemes: Rijiju

Union minister Kiren Rijiju on Monday called upon BJP workers to work with dedication, discipline and a clear vision to ensure the all-round development of Arunachal Pradesh, while stressing the need to strengthen grassroots-level activities and effectively implement welfare schemes for the benefit of the people.
Addressing party leaders and workers during the Deendayal Upadhyaya Prashikshan Maha Abhiyan, organised for Lower Siang and Leparada districts at Basar, Rijiju, the Union Minority and Parliamentary Affairs minister said the BJP governments at the Centre and in the state have ushered in significant development and launched several public welfare initiatives aimed at improving the lives of citizens.
He urged party workers to remain committed to the party's ideology and actively contribute towards taking developmental programmes to the grassroots level, an official communique said here.
''The responsibility of party workers is not limited to organisational activities alone. They must ensure that government welfare schemes and developmental programmes reach every section of society in a timely and effective manner,'' Rijiju said.
The minister further emphasised that strengthening grassroots-level activities would play a crucial role in accelerating development and enhancing public participation in governance.
Rijiju, who represents the Western Parliamentary seat in the state, also highlighted the importance of disciplined organisational work and collective efforts in achieving the vision of a developed and self-reliant Arunachal Pradesh.
The training programme was attended by state BJP president Kaling Moyong, Deputy Speaker of the state Legislative Assembly Kardo Nyigyor, state party vice president and MLA Chau Zingnu Namchoom, MLAs Tojir Kadu and Nyabi Jini Dirchi, party general secretary Tadar Niglar and vice president Ashok Sangchoju, among others.
Speaking on the occasion, Moyong said the training programme was organised to familiarise party workers with the BJP's ideology, organisational structure, achievements, challenges and various other important aspects related to party functioning and governance.
He said such training initiatives would help strengthen the organisational base of the party and enhance the efficiency and awareness of party workers at different levels.
