Omar Abdullah, the leader of Jammu and Kashmir, has called for a strategic meeting on June 3 with lawmakers from the ruling National Conference and the independents backing his administration. The gathering aims to deliberate on pressing issues of collective importance and public welfare.
In his invitation, Abdullah emphasized the need for a serious dialogue on matters affecting the community. While he extended invitations to four independent MLAs, no invite was sent to the six Congress legislators who also support the government. An insider from the National Conference noted that this crucial meeting could tackle key challenges facing Jammu and Kashmir, amid claims by opposition leader Sunil Sharma that the ruling government may not complete its term.
