Trump appoints ally and FHFA chief Pulte as acting US intelligence director

US President Donald Trump has appointed Federal Housing Finance Agency chief Bill Pulte as acting director of national intelligence, while retaining his other roles.

​U.S. ​President ‌Donald Trump ​said on Tuesday ‌he was appointing Federal Housing Finance ‌Agency chief Bill Pulte ‌as acting director of national ⁠intelligence.

"During ​this ⁠period, he will ⁠remain Director of ​the Federal Housing Finance ⁠Agency, and Chairman ⁠of ​Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac," he said ⁠in a Truth ⁠Social ⁠post.
