Tensions Rise: Ukrainian Drones Accused of Attacking Vessels in Sea of Azov
Russia has accused Ukraine of a drone attack that resulted in the death of Azerbaijani crew members on two cargo ships headed for a Russian port. The vessels, allegedly involved in illicit activities, were targeted by Ukrainian forces, escalating tensions between the involved parties.
In a tense development, Russia on Friday accused Ukraine of a drone attack that killed Azerbaijani crew members aboard two cargo vessels en route to a Russian port. This incident has exacerbated the already strained relations in the region.
The Ukrainian drones reportedly struck ships identified for their clandestine activities. Ukrainian drone forces, led by commander Robert Brovdi, claimed the targeted ships were engaged in stealing Ukrainian grain and transporting military cargo.
While the Russian Foreign Ministry condemned the attack and labeled it as indicative of the Kyiv regime's 'terrorist nature,' Azerbaijan confirmed the loss of lives among its citizens. Both Russia and Azerbaijan have expressed condolences and are cooperating in response to this incident.
