The YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) leader and former Andhra Pradesh Finance Minister Buggana Rajendranath has raised concerns over the approach to capital development in Andhra Pradesh. Expressing skepticism about the roadmap for Amaravati, he suggested that post-bifurcation decisions have been symptomatic of 'bad governance' and reveal a limited understanding of the state's needs.
In an exclusive conversation with ANI, Rajendranath highlighted the neglect of expert recommendations made by a technical committee established through an Act of Parliament. 'The decision-making post-bifurcation ignored crucial insights from the committee, which gathered comprehensive data across the state, ultimately advocating for decentralization,' he remarked.
On the performance of Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu's government, Rajendranath was particularly scathing, assigning a 'zero' to both tenures in terms of economic progression. He condemned the absence of a coherent policy framework during 2014-2019, criticizing sudden decisions like the shift from Hyderabad without substantial planning.
