In a dramatic political development, Trinamool Congress (TMC) leader Kunal Ghosh criticized rebel MPs for attempting to align with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and subsequently joining the Nationalist Citizens Party of India (NCPI). Ghosh alleged that the BJP had shut its doors on these defectors, leaving them to seek membership in a less recognized party.
Ghosh highlighted the irony of the situation by noting that, despite their attempts to strengthen ties with the BJP and merge with the National Democratic Alliance (NDA), the rebel MPs found themselves excluded. He suggested that their desperation led them to an obscure party, questioning the credibility and democratic integrity of this move.
Meanwhile, the political saga continues as TMC faces internal turmoil after losing the assembly polls. Reports indicate that 20 Lok Sabha MPs from TMC are expressing support for the NDA. Kunal Ghosh openly challenged these moves, condemning the disregard for anti-BJP mandates and democratic values, casting doubt on the true intentions of the defectors.
