Brazil ​has ‌informed Argentina's ambassador ​that bilateral relations have been ‌downgraded to the chargé d'affaires level, a source in the Brazilian ‌government told Reuters on Tuesday.

Brazil's ‌ambassador to Argentina will not return to Buenos Aires after Argentine ⁠President ​Javier ⁠Milei again criticized counterpart Luiz Inacio Lula ⁠da Silva, the source ​said, confirming earlier reports in Brazilian ⁠and Argentine media.

Argentina's foreign ministry ⁠did ​not immediately respond to a request for comment.
