G Kishan Reddy files nomination for Secunderabad Lok Sabha seat
BJP leader G Kishan Reddy on Monday filed his nomination from Secunderabad Parliamentary constituency. He filed his nomination in the presence of BJP state unit president K Laxam and sitting Member of Parliament (MP) Bandaru Dattatreya at the party head office here.
"People know what the Congress candidate did when he was elected two times. I, on the other hand, raised the problems of Hyderabad public for 15 years in the assembly," Reddy told ANI. "People must look at the background of the candidates who are contesting from Secunderabad constituency and vote accordingly," Reddy said.
Asserting that he is the 'Chowkidar' for the people of Secunderabad, he said: "People from Hyderabad will again elect Narendra Modi as the Prime Minister so that he makes the country free from corruption and stop family politics." G Kishan Reddy has won three times as Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) from Amberpet constituency but lost in 2018 December elections.
His opponent in the constituency would be Congress candidate M Anjan Kumar Yadav, who represented the constituency twice in 2004 and 2009. Telangana will go to polls in a single phase for all 17 Lok Sabha seats at stake on April 11. Results will be declared on May 23. (ANI)
