Hailing the Lok Sabha election results as a "victory of true nationalism over tukde-tukde gang", BJP president Amit Shah on Thursday said that with this mandate, people have buried the politics of casteism, dynasty and appeasement. Addressing party workers at the BJP headquarters here, he said it was a victory of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's "sabka saath, sabka vikas" (with all, development for all) and described him as the "superhero" of this victory.
"This is a victory of true nationalism over parties supporting the ideology of the tukde-tukde gang. The politics of casteism, dynasty and appeasement politics has been buried in this massive mandate to the BJP," Shah said. The BJP chief, in the presence of Modi, said the next five years of the government will be a period of further expansion of the party.
Training his guns on the Congress, he said the party had drawn a "big zero" in 17 states and Union Territories, while the BJP got more than 50 per cent votes in 17 states. "It is the victory of people, it is a victory of Modi's Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas policy. Modi is the superhero of BJP's super victory," he said amid cheers from the party workers.
Describing the victory as "historic in Indian politics", Shah said it was for the first time in several decades that a party had got back to back majority. He said it was the people's mandate against the opposition's propaganda and their total rejection of politics of dynasty, appeasement and casteism.
"Today's result is India's mandate against opposition's propaganda, lies, personal insinuations and baseless politics. It is also the people's mandate who have chosen development and nationalism, and rejected casteism, dynasty and appeasement," Shah said. Asserting that this win is a victory for the entire India, he said, "It is the victory of the hopes of the youth, the poor and farmers. This grand victory is a triumph of people's confidence in Prime Minister Narendra Modi's development work and strong leadership."
Greetings party workers on behalf of Modi, Shah said it were their relentless efforts which strengthened the BJP at every booth of the country. Shah also paid tributes to those party workers who lost their lost their lives in Bengal.
Taking on TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu who was working overtime for opposition unity, Shah said had he worked so hard to get votes in his state, the TDP would have won some seats.
