Leslie storm can become tropical cyclone in coming days

Subtropical storm Leslie is expected to meander over the north-central Atlantic Ocean for the next few days and some strengthening is possible, the National Hurricane Center (NHC) said on Saturday.

The system is located about 1,300 miles (2,095 km) west of the Azores, packing maximum sustained winds of 45 miles (75 km) per hour, the NHC said.

Leslie could transition into a tropical cyclone during the next few days, the Miami-based forecaster said.
