Fire Tragedy Claims Life in Thane High-Rise Blaze

A devastating fire at a 27-storey apartment in Thane's Tulsidham Society early Wednesday morning claimed the life of 47-year-old Arun Kedia. Despite efforts by fire and rescue personnel, he was declared dead upon arrival at the hospital. Four other occupants, including minors, managed to escape safely.

Early Wednesday morning, a devastating fire broke out in a 27-storey residential building in Thane city, Maharashtra, claiming the life of 47-year-old Arun Kedia.

The blaze erupted at 3.11 am on the fourth floor of Tulsidham Society, as confirmed by Yasin Tadvi, chief of Thane Municipal Corporation's disaster management cell.

Fire personnel from Balkum and the regional disaster management cell team were promptly dispatched. Though rescue teams found Kedia unconscious and rushed him to a nearby hospital, he was declared dead upon arrival. Four other occupants, including two minors, safely escaped the inferno. The fire, which gutted rooms and household items, was extinguished by 4.22 am. The cause of the blaze remains under investigation.
