The India Meteorological Department (IMD) reported the potential for light to moderate rain in some areas, accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning, as indicated by its latest satellite imagery. Showers were noted in parts of Delhi around 3 pm.

The IMD has forecasted generally cloudy skies and moderate rain with thunderstorms and lightning for Wednesday, issuing a 'yellow alert' to inform the public of the upcoming weather changes. The department noted that the monsoon, covering the entire country by July 2, arrived earlier than the typical date of July 8.
