A fire broke out at the renowned Gulati restaurant on Pandara Road near India Gate in the early hours of Wednesday, according to Delhi Fire Services (DFS) officials.
Officials confirmed that no individuals were injured in the incident.
The blaze started at 2:48 am in the restaurant's sitting area and quickly spread to the first floor, a DFS official reported.
Four fire tenders were deployed to extinguish the flames, successfully bringing the blaze under control within an hour. Several pieces of furniture and other items were damaged in the fire, the official added.
Police suspect a short circuit may have triggered the fire, and an investigation is currently underway.
