Residents of Greater Noida West, also known as Noida Extension, will soon benefit from the area's first sewage treatment plant, according to the Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority (GNIDA).

With a capacity of 45 million liters per day, the plant will cost approximately Rs 80 crore and start construction after the tender process is completed within a month. The project is expected to be finished in one-and-a-half years.

GNIDA has also issued tenders worth around Rs 18 crore for 23 other regional projects. GNIDA CEO NG Ravi Kumar has emphasized the urgency for the plant, approving its swift construction and ensuring no compromise on quality.

Additional CEO Ashutosh Dwivedi noted that companies can apply to construct the STP until July 29, with pre-qualification bids opening on July 31. The chosen company will begin construction shortly after, which will take about one-and-a-half years to complete.
