Heavy rains have caused devastating flash floods in Himachal Pradesh, leading to the tragic deaths of two young girls and an 18-year-old woman in Una on Sunday. One person remains missing as a result of the torrential downpour.

Overflowing streams have inundated several homes in Una, prompting the Lahaul and Spiti police to issue urgent advisories for caution. Citizens are being warned to avoid crossing the rapidly rising Jahalman Nallah.

Deputy Commissioner of Una district, Jatin Lal, along with other officials, visited the rain-affected areas and urged residents to keep a safe distance from rivers and rivulets. Of the 288 roads closed statewide, 138 were shut on Friday and 150 on Saturday. Rescue operations in Kullu, Mandi, and Shimla districts are ongoing, with 28 bodies recovered so far. The state has suffered losses amounting to approximately Rs 842 crore due to these incessant rains.
