Mumbai Property Registrations Surge: August Sees 7% Annual Growth
Property registrations in Mumbai's municipal region are projected to rise by 7% annually in August, reaching around 11,650 units due to strong demand. Knight Frank India reports that Mumbai city has recorded 11,631 property registrations so far this month. The Maharashtra government is expected to earn over Rs 1,050 crore from these registrations.

Property registrations in Mumbai's municipal region are expected to climb 7% annually in August, hitting approximately 11,650 units driven by robust demand, according to real estate consultancy Knight Frank India.
Data from the Maharashtra government indicates that as of August 31, 8.15 pm, Mumbai (BMC jurisdiction) recorded 11,631 property registrations, with numbers likely to inch up slightly.
The registrations, which cover both primary and secondary market sales, are projected to earn the state government more than Rs 1,050 crore. Knight Frank India's Chairman & Managing Director, Shishir Baijal, attributed sustained monthly sales exceeding 10,000 units to strong economic outlook and stable interest rates, keeping homebuyer sentiments positive.
