Water Supply Disruption in West Delhi for 16 Hours

Water supply in parts of west Delhi will be disrupted for 16 hours on October 1 and 2 due to major repair work at the Haiderpur Water Treatment Plant. Residents are advised to store water in advance. Affected areas include Raja Garden, Rani Bagh, and Tilak Nagar.

Water supply will be disrupted in parts of west Delhi for 16 hours on October 1 and 2, according to an official statement from the Delhi Jal Board (DJB). Varun Niketan, Raja Garden, Ramesh Nagar, Khyala, Rani Bagh, Moti Nagar, Shanta Puri Tagore Garden, Tilak Nagar, Rajouri Garden, and Hari Nagar are among the affected areas.

The disruption is due to significant repair work on the 1100 mm diameter header line feeding to the West Delhi Main and Pitampura Main inside the Haiderpur Water Treatment Plant premises. During the shutdown, water supply will either be unavailable or available at low pressure from 10 am on October 1 to 2 am on October 2.

The DJB has urged residents in the affected areas to store an adequate amount of water in advance and use it judiciously. Water tankers will be available on request through the DJB helpline or central control room.
