Wild Elephant Invades Bhubaneswar, Sparks Public Alarm
A wild elephant caused panic after entering Bhubaneswar on Tuesday. It was found near AIIMS-Bhubaneswar and is believed to have come from Barunei hills. The Forest Department deployed 30 personnel to manage the situation. Measures are in place for its safe return to Chandaka Sanctuary.

A wild elephant wandered into the city of Bhubaneswar, causing significant alarm among residents and officials on Tuesday morning.
The animal was initially sighted in a cashew orchard near AIIMS-Bhubaneswar. Authorities suspect it arrived from the Barunei hills located near Khurda.
In response, the Forest Department dispatched approximately 30 personnel to the scene. City Range Officer Pratap Mohanty confirmed that efforts are underway to redirect the elephant to Chandaka Sanctuary, with public announcement systems deployed to keep residents informed and safe.
