In a letter to the Commission for Air Quality Management (CAQM), Environment Minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa expressed the impracticality of the ban due to technological challenges, stating it adversely impacts citizens' daily lives.

Gupta emphasized the need to balance air pollution control with the socio-economic needs of residents, proposing a phased solution after stakeholder consultation to mitigate public inconvenience.
