An injured red fox, rescued in Leh's Spituk Farka village, has been released back into the wild following a month-long rehabilitation by the local wildlife department, officials reported.

The fox, suffering from wounds believed to be inflicted by barbed wire, was taken to the Wildlife Rescue and Rehabilitation Centre (WRRC) for treatment. The animal was found in poor condition with infections and underweight.

After receiving comprehensive care, including medical treatment and nutritional feeding, the fox has returned to health and was released back to its natural habitat near Spituk Farka.
