Chandigarh, which serves as the joint capital for both states, was also affected by the rain.

Affected areas in Punjab included Mohali, Amritsar, and Ludhiana, while in Haryana, regions such as Panchkula and Rohtak experienced showers. The local meteorological department attributed this weather to a western disturbance impacting the region.

Forecasts indicate that light to moderate rain is expected on October 6 and 7 across most parts of both states.
