Bengaluru: Pioneering the Future with Massive Infrastructure Investments

Bengaluru is to receive a significant infrastructure boost, with Karnataka's Deputy Chief Minister D K Shivakumar unveiling plans to invest over Rs 1 lakh crore into the city. Speaking at the Bengaluru Tech Summit 2025, Shivakumar emphasized Bengaluru's role as a pivotal tech hub, underpinning this transformation with vast innovations.
The annual summit, organized by the Department of Electronics, IT & Bt, along with the Software Technology Parks of India, highlights the state's commitment to bolstering technology through strong foundations. The Deputy CM outlined mega projects, such as a 40 KMs twin tunnel at Rs 42,500 crore and a 74 KMs business corridor at Rs 27,000 crore, aimed at upgrading the city's infrastructure.
An additional airport and a Secretariat for NRIs are also in the works. Emphasizing the need for public-private collaboration, Shivakumar called on industry leaders to aid rural education strengthening with CSR contributions, promising government support. He accentuated Bengaluru's appeal, citing its climate, culture, and talent as unparalleled.
