The Municipal Corporation of Delhi executed an anti-encroachment drive near the RSS headquarters in Jhandewalan on Saturday. Officials confirmed that structures were removed after a month and a half of non-compliance with previously issued notices.
Authorities revealed that the affected parties had been directed to vacate the plots 45 days prior to the demolition. The operation drew support from Delhi Police and MCD officials who were present to uphold order and ensure a peaceful procedure.
The civic body has yet to issue an official statement regarding the demolition. Meanwhile, police officials verified the advance issuance of notices before the execution of the demolition.
