In a significant move towards rebuilding lives, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha laid the foundation stone on Saturday for new homes in Udhampur and Ramban districts, aimed at families affected by recent natural disasters.

A total of 530 houses are set to be developed; 341 in Udhampur and 189 in Ramban, backed by an investment from HRDS India, a non-governmental organization dedicated to rural development. This humanitarian endeavor seeks to offer not just shelter but a fresh start to many in the beleaguered region.

Alongside infrastructure projects under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana, the administration has committed itself to bridging social gaps, ensuring that growth and development equally reach remote and disadvantaged communities across Jammu and Kashmir.
