Cyclone Ditwah has wreaked havoc across the coastal areas of Tamil Nadu, particularly in Nagapattinam and Ramanathapuram districts. The storm, centered over Vedaranyam, has led to disrupted lives as heavy rains and gusty winds persist.
State preparedness is evident as 28 disaster response teams, including those from the SDRF and NDRF, remain on standby. Authorities are also considering additional reinforcements from other states as the cyclone threatens further intensification.
As Cyclone Ditwah approaches the Chennai coast, extensive rainfall and strong winds are anticipated, potentially causing further damages. Public safety measures have been emphasized, and citizens have been advised to adhere to the guidance outlined by Chief Minister M K Stalin.
