During Zero Hour in the Rajya Sabha, two YSRCP members highlighted critical issues affecting Andhra Pradesh, primarily air pollution in Visakhapatnam and infrastructure problems along a national highway segment.
Golla Baburao emphasized that Visakhapatnam has been a perennial presence on the list of India's most polluted cities, exacerbated by industrial activities and lax emission controls. The city failed to meet national air quality standards, worsened by outdated vehicles sold from Delhi.
Meda Raghunadha Reddy pointed to the hazardous state of the Kadapa-Renigunta section of NH-761, urging the need for urgent road rehabilitation to ensure safety for travelers amid ongoing highway construction.
