A fresh Western Disturbance is set to bring light snowfall to the higher reaches of Lahaul, Spiti, Chamba, and Kullu in Himachal Pradesh over the weekend, officials confirmed on Friday.

While these regions brace for some snow, the weather will remain normal across the other nine districts of the state. The period from December 1 to 11 recorded no rainfall, presenting a significant 100 percent deficiency compared to the expected 8.3 mm.

However, in the post-monsoon season stretching from October 1 to December 11, the state received an above-average 69.5 mm of precipitation. Additionally, dense fog is forecasted for Bilaspur, and a light fog blanket is expected in Mandi during the early mornings.
