Chill Grips Haryana and Punjab: Record Low Temperatures Hit Region
Haryana and Punjab are experiencing severe cold conditions, with temperatures dropping significantly below normal. Hisar recorded a low of 0.5°C, and Chandigarh faced its coldest night at 2.8°C. Dense fog affected visibility in several regions, as nighttime temperatures remained unusually low across both states.

Haryana and Punjab have been gripped by severe cold, with temperatures plummeting well below seasonal averages. Hisar, in particular, registered an unusually low nighttime temperature of 0.5 degrees Celsius, a stark six notches below normal, according to meteorological reports released on Wednesday.
Thick fog further compounded the cold wave's impact across many regions, hindering visibility during morning hours. Other areas in Haryana, such as Narnaul and Bhiwani, also experienced chilling lows of 1 and 1.2 degrees Celsius, respectively.
Meanwhile, in Punjab, Bathinda and Faridkot saw temperatures sink to 3.2 degrees Celsius. The common capital, Chandigarh, noted its coldest night of the season at 2.8 degrees Celsius, casting a frigid spell over the region.
