Odisha is currently gripped by an unseasonal cold wave as temperatures have plunged below normal across various districts.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) issued a bulletin on Thursday, noting frigid conditions persisting until Friday with Rourkela, G Udaygiri, and Phulabani recording lows significantly below average.
Manorama Mohanty, director of the Meteorological Centre in Bhubaneswar, confirmed there will be minimal relief in nighttime temperatures over the next two days, but a slight rise is expected starting Saturday.
