Odisha Gripped by Cold Snap as Temperatures Plunge

Odisha is experiencing a cold wave, with temperatures dipping below normal across several regions. The IMD reported no immediate relief, with the chilly conditions expected to last until Friday. Temperature increases are anticipated over the weekend, likely rising by two to four degrees Celsius.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) issued a bulletin on Thursday, noting frigid conditions persisting until Friday with Rourkela, G Udaygiri, and Phulabani recording lows significantly below average.

Manorama Mohanty, director of the Meteorological Centre in Bhubaneswar, confirmed there will be minimal relief in nighttime temperatures over the next two days, but a slight rise is expected starting Saturday.
