Jammu & Kashmir's Transport Minister, Satish Sharma, held talks with Brigadier R K Mishra, Chief Engineer of the Border Roads Organisation for the Jammu province, to discuss infrastructure development in critical border areas. The discussions aimed at improving road connectivity, crucial for socio-economic growth and access to essential services.
Minister Sharma, who also oversees various other departments including Information Technology and Science, highlighted the need for coordinated efforts in road construction and maintenance to enhance living standards in remote regions. He pointed out that infrastructure is key to empowerment and economic opportunities in these communities.
The meeting covered the progress of ongoing projects and future plans, with a focus on using modern engineering practices and maintaining quality standards.
