A fire broke out on Friday in a multi-storey commercial building in Ameerpet, a busy locality known for its IT coaching centers and workshops. Authorities reported that the blaze, suspected to be caused by an electrical short circuit, emitted heavy smoke from the premises.
Quick response measures were taken, as three fire engines were immediately dispatched to the site. Firefighters managed to bring the fire under control, preventing it from causing significant damage.
Police and officials effectively evacuated students and other occupants from the building. Thankfully, no casualties were reported. Ameerpet continues to be a hub for software training institutions, drawing a large number of students daily.
