Rajasthan's Green Revolution: Mission Hariyalo Takes Root

Rajasthan's government, led by Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma, is launching 'Mission Hariyalo Rajasthan' to plant 10 crore saplings this monsoon. Aimed at making the state greener, this initiative includes prepping areas for planting and distributing free fruit saplings, alongside a long-term goal of 50 crore saplings by 2028.

Rajasthan's Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma announced a major environmental initiative on Saturday, termed 'Mission Hariyalo Rajasthan', focused on planting 10 crore saplings statewide this monsoon season.

During a forest department review meeting, Sharma emphasized the importance of inter-departmental coordination in achieving the ambitious plantation goals.

The initiative begins on World Environment Day, June 5, and includes innovative methods like drone seeding, aiming for a greener Rajasthan with 50 crore saplings planted by 2028.
