The long wait is over for residents of Irpanar, a remote village in Chhattisgarh, as they bask in the glow of electric light for the first time. The village, once a Maoist hotbed, symbolizes newfound hope and development since electricity was introduced on Friday.
The electrification initiative, part of the 'Niyad Nella Nar' scheme, is a significant milestone for the community, allowing children to study at night and facilitating access to crucial amenities such as mobile charging, digital education, and healthcare. Approximately 10 families in the village stand to benefit.
Despite its proximity to the district headquarters, Irpanar's rough terrain posed logistical challenges. Yet, with dedicated efforts by the Chhattisgarh State Power Distribution Company Limited and local support, the village has achieved connectivity that promotes a brighter, prosperous future free from the darkness of isolation.
