A tragic incident in Maharashtra's Beed district left a woman dead and three others injured after a high tension power line contacted a makeshift metal shed. The mishap took place while they were harvesting onions on a farm in Katevasti of Shirur Kasar tehsil. Authorities are investigating the cause.

The fatal accident occurred around 1.30 PM when Renuka Kate, along with others, sought respite from the afternoon heat inside a temporary shed with iron supports. An overhead power line directly above the farm made contact, sending a massive current through the structure.

The accident resulted in the immediate death of Renuka and severe injuries to Sunita Kate, Priyanka Kate, and Anand Kate, all of whom are currently receiving treatment. The police are examining potential negligence regarding the height of the overhead cables.
