The India Meteorological Department reports that the heatwave, which began on May 9, will continue until May 14, affecting regions such as Saurashtra-Kutch, Ahmedabad, and more. Temperatures have significantly surpassed the normal range.

Gujarat has been under the grip of intense heatwave conditions for the past five days, continuing through May 14. Hospitals and emergency services report increased activity as residents deal with the extreme temperatures.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has identified districts in the Saurashtra-Kutch region, including Surendranagar and Kutch, as particularly affected.
The IMD warns that Banaskantha, Patan, and other districts will experience above-normal temperatures, with recorded highs significantly departing from the norm.
