Ahmedabad-Dholera Rail Project: A Leap Forward for Gujarat's Growth

Union Home Minister Amit Shah highlighted the Cabinet's approval for a Rs-20,667 crore semi-high-speed rail line from Ahmedabad to Dholera. This initiative aims to boost Gujarat's manufacturing and logistics, create jobs, and transform India into a connectivity hub. Shah also noted upgrades to Nagpur's airport and a coal gasification scheme.

In a significant move to enhance connectivity and spur economic growth, Union Home Minister Amit Shah announced the Cabinet's nod for the Rs-20,667 crore Ahmedabad (Sarkhej)-Dholera semi-high-speed rail project. This initiative aligns with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision of positioning India as a global leader in connectivity, innovation, and manufacturing.

The 134 km rail line will link Ahmedabad to the Dholera Special Investment Region and the Greenfield Industrial Smart City. It's expected to generate significant employment and elevate Gujarat as a key hub for manufacturing and logistics. The project will also ensure connectivity for Namo Bharat trains, benefiting regions such as the Dholera International Airport and the Lothal National Maritime Heritage Complex.

Additionally, Shah celebrated the Cabinet's approval for modernising Nagpur International Airport and a Rs-37,500 crore scheme to promote surface coal and lignite gasification, highlighting their potential to stimulate economic growth and job creation.
